Secular in the Church

If, as many argue, the church can only use music that was written by those devoted to God, does that mean we can only hire Christian architects to design our church buildings, Christian bakers to prepare our communion bread, Christian seamstresses to sew our choir robes?

What say you?

I've used and seen secular music used in a church service, and in our guest services/productions, and they've been successful.
Thankfully I've not come across anyone who's been so engrained on "only using christian produced music/equipment/etc"

I have no problem with it at all.

While I have no problem using a secular song if it helps with the theme by illustrating a truth, I don't think comparing a secular song to the architecture, bakery or seamstress is the same.

I think that's a stretch and apples with oranges.

The secular in song usually reflects the culture and its relevance to the message. There's something "spiritual" about a song that's not true with robes, brick and mortar and bread.
