New Music?

While we all wait for Hillsong United's new CD to hit (BTW, get a free MP3 from their upcoming album Here), do you have any new music suggestions for me?

I've recently downloaded the newest U2 and Keane albums...both good, not great. Any other suggestions, Christian or not?

Kari Jobe is a worship leader (I want to say from Texas) that released her self-titled cd in Feb. My favorite song from there would be "I'm singing"; she just has a beautiful voice.

One of the guys involved in the music part of The Art of Joy has an album out that you can download for free/by giving a donation.

I'm sure you have the Michael W. Smith's A New Hallelujah, but if you don't get it! It's one of my favorites!!!
I have made the recent discoveries of the CAB, Eric Hutchinson, and Oren Lavie. They are pretty good. Nothing bad in the lyrics although some can get a bit suggestive. I tend to just weed through albums.

There's a worship leader from San Antonio named Mark Swayze who has an amazing voice and sincere focus on God. He wrote a song called Faces of the Revolution, which I love but I can't find it recorded anywhere yet. He wrote it for our youth mid-winter camps this year.

Here is some of their stuff:

Um... if U2's new album is considered "good, not great" than I don't think you're going to find anything that's going to blow you away anytime soon!

Check out the latest albums from Kings of Leon, The Killers, Matt Wertz, Brandi Carlisle (older but really good), & pick up Stereophonics' greatest hits album.

Stay away from Compassionart & Chris Cornell!

Does anyone listen to/use Phil Wickham's music?

@ Rick. . .never heard of him.

@Rick

I've heard some of his stuff, but don't own anything. I know several churches were using his "True Love" song at Easter.

I went to high school with his dad, John, who was a member of The Way, one of the early Jesus movement bands in So. Cal.

John is a worship leader today as well in the San Diego area, I believe. And I hear Phil is putting out some great stuff.
