> The message was solid. Don't Give Up! I'm guessing it's something that a lot of other people needed to hear as well.
> I taught my NHCU: Discovering Worship CLASS for about the 6th time yesterday. Haven't taught since November because we've been out of town. I only had 10 students, which is just under the perfect size for that class, but we had a good time, and I finished early for the first time ever, although I had to cut out some stuff as I was moving along. One of my goals for today is to edit (again) my material so that I don't have to feel so rushed as I'm teaching.
> We'll be wrapping up our "What If?" series in a few weeks, and moving on to something new. One of my favorite things to do is create the graphics for stuff around the church. I'm certainly no professional, but I think I get by pretty well considering. I am very excited because we just purchased a copy of Adobe Illustrator, which is much more intense and fun than what I've been using.
> Speaking of which, here is the final version of the "40 Days of Prayer" graphic that we decided on. Thanks for your help!

> That's all I've got for today. Need to go do some real work now, and then grab some lunch. Later!

I hate those sundays - where I feel so disconnected and cannot seem to get my mind into the right place to concentrate on the moment - a lot of mine is a medical situation that I'm dealing with, it plays 'tricks' with my mind, giving me a slightly "off" or disoriented feeling at times and I have a hard time focusing while it's in effect. Then, a lot of is just plain over tired from the crazy hours and numbers of days I work without a break.
But, I also notice that there are just some Sundays where everyone seems to be "clicking" with worship and the message, and then others where we all seem to be in a fog of some sort. Drives me crazy when I have 1 of those days!
On the josh groban thing, I went to you tube and listened to him - way too operatic/pretentious-sounding for me to enjoy - the songs were beautiful lyric wise, but the voice - eeeekkk! definitely not something I would actually pay money to hear over and over again personally! I tend to prefer more craggly voices for lack of a better word, not so perfect, can't think of how to explain it... having 1 of those "fog day afternoons!"
One of our elders did a sermon series (3) on prayer that was really good. The guy who did it is one of the most well-versed, theologically sound men I have ever met. It's good stuff. Check it out if you have time...or have your dad. The website is www.trinity-evangelical-church.org. Click through and find it under "sermons" 05/28/08 through 06/08/08. They can send you the file over email!
