Here's how we do it. People in our church dress up in costumes and decorate their vehicles and bring them to church on Halloween and load their trunks (of their vehicles, not their pants or long noses) with candy. Families bring their kids by to load up. A kid could easily make one stop at our church and have more candy than they would walking around town.
We've been doing this for a few years, and last year we reached 300 people, which means nearly 100 families (people who do not come to our church), and we had about 40 vehicles.
This year, we're shooting for 600 people/200 families and are doing a lot more marketing.

I have seen this trunk or treat event last halloween at my church but I don't understand what it is all about, what is trunk or treat?
